My journey back to my body has been the most important journey I've ever taken.

I was the strong, independent woman who performed for five and held everything together. The one who never said no. The one who helped everyone else first. Until my body spoke up — at 25 I was on sick leave for stress. Burnt out at an age when life had barely begun.

I was the good girl who did everything right — for everyone else, but not for myself. And I had no idea how to find my way back.

It took years. Somatics. Nervous system work. Therapy. Mountains in Norway where I lay on the ground and cried. Girlfriends who held me when everything fell apart. Slowly, slowly, the body started to feel like home again.
